Nigerian Police Declare Imo-Based Lawyer Wanted For Alleged Fraud

The Nigeria Police Force has declared an Imo State-based lawyer identified as Barrister Emmanuel Chinyere Orji, wanted for alleged fraud and forgery.

According to a Special Police Gazette Bulletin posted on the X (formerly Twitter) account of the Nigeria Police Force on Tuesday, the lawyer is wanted by the police for alleged fraud, obtaining money under false pretence, conversion of funds and forgery.

Barrister Orji is wanted by the Office of the Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Force Criminal Investigations Department (FCID), Force Headquarters, Abuja.

According to the bulletin, Barrister Orji, a 51-year-old man, hails from Umueze Autonomous Community, Orlu Local Government Area, Imo State.

The police said the lawyer, who is fair in complexion with black hair and brown eyes, and about 5 feet 7 inches height, has his last business address as Unique Trees Law Firm, 7 Yar’Adua Drive, Owerri, Imo State.

Calling for public assistance, the police said that anyone with information that could lead to his arrest should report to the nearest police station.

“If seen, arrest and hand over to the nearest police station, or to the office of the Commissioner of Police, Special Inquiry Bureau (SIB), Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), Force Headquarters,” the directive stated.
