‘It’s AI-generated’: Oshiomole reacts to viral video showing him massaging lady on private jet
A former governor of Edo State and senator representing Edo North in the 10th National Assembly, Adams Oshiomhole, has denied the authenticity of a widely circulated video showing him giving a foot massage to a woman aboard a private jet.
On Tuesday, a video emerged online showing the senator massaging a woman. Initial reports claimed she was his wife, Lara Fortes, a Cape Verdean lawyer and former model.
However, subsequent findings revealed that the woman in the video is actually Leshaan Dagama, a South African influencer and adult-oriented content creator.
The video quickly sparked widespread reactions from Nigerians, many of whom questioned the propriety of the senator’s conduct amid prevailing economic hardship in the country.
Reacting on Instagram, a user with the handle @iamogbems wrote, “Our politicians don’t see us finish. The way they flaunt their expensive lifestyle to our faces is shocking, especially with taxpayers’ money.”
Another user simply identified as @nigerianguy said, “They are okay putting millions of children, mothers, and fathers in poverty, so they can do this. So they can just gift one girl a 500 million naira house, while many innocent souls are languishing in poverty. And they are setting up their children to continue with this lavish lifestyle while the future generations suffer.”
Similarly, social media commentator Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, criticized the senator’s conduct, arguing that public officials no longer attempt to hide displays of wealth.
VeryDarkman said, “These people no longer hide it. Before, they did it behind our backs; now they do it in our faces. How much is Adams Oshiomhole earning that he’s inside a private jet?”

However, in a swift reaction, the media office of Senator Oshiomhole dismissed the video as entirely fabricated. They described it as a “poorly crafted and edited fake AI video” produced by individuals with malicious intent to blackmail the senator and damage his public image.
The statement highlighted noticeable technical flaws in the clip, particularly inconsistencies visible around the 0:06-second mark in the approximately 30-second recording, as clear indicators of artificial intelligence manipulation and digital editing.
Senator Oshiomhole’s team urged the public, media outlets, and social media users to disregard the footage completely, labeling it a deliberate attempt at misinformation. They emphasised that the video does not reflect any actual event involving the senator.
If the video is A.I, who made it and why, and if not, why was the video posted? Is it a lack of respect for the plight of Nigerians?
