A new Head of Service (HoS) Mrs Ngozi Quuen Obioma, has been appointed by Abia State Governor Alex Otti.

The new HoS takes over from the acting Head of Service, Joy Maduka, who was appointed in June by Otti.

A statement signed by the Secretary to Abia State Government, Professor Keneth Kalu on Tuesday, said the appointment takes effect from December 1, 2023.

The governor thanked the outgoing Head of Service for her contributions and wished her well.

Maduka has been in charge of the Abia State civil service since her appointment in acting capacity in June, 2023.

She supervised the now extended verification exercise in the state’s civil service and pensions systems.
