Access To Justice, Security & Accountability Session Convened” — NBA-SPIDEL Holds High-Profile Panel At Enugu Annual Conference Today
The Nigerian Bar Association’s Section on Public Interest and Development Law (NBA-SPIDEL) convened a high-profile session at the NBA Annual General Conference in Enugu on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, focusing on “Access to Justice, Security & Accountability: Issues, Challenges and Advancing Solutions.”
The session was led by Associate Professor Uju Agomoh, President of the Prisoners’ Rights Advocacy Network (PRAWA) and member of the UN Subcommittee on Prevention of Torture. Hon. Justice Chimezie C. Nwakanma of the Abia State High Court served as the moderator.
The distinguished panel included:

The session, which took place at the ICC Main Auditorium from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM immediately following the UNICEF session, aimed to address critical challenges in the Nigerian justice system and propose practical solutions for enhancing accountability and security within the legal framework.
Okey Leo Ohagba, Secretary of NBA-SPIDEL, coordinated the session, ensuring a robust discussion among experts and participants on advancing justice and human rights in Nigeria.
