Akpata will move Edo forward, says Obi
The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the last general election, Mr Peter Obi has urged the Edo electorate to vote for the party’s flag bearer in next week’s governorship election, Olumide Akpata, assuring that will move the state forward.
Obi was in Benin yesterday to mobilise votes for Akpata, a former President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).
The former Anambra State governor urged voters to come out en masse to cast their votes for the LP.
The campaign train defied the downpour, and moved from the LP secretariat on Sokponba Road, through Ring Road, Oba Market, Mission Road, New Benin, and New Lagos Road.
