Alleged killing of 60 children: US trying to dampen Nigerian military’s morale – Group
A group, the Patriotic Elders Forum For Peace, has accused the American government of serially trying to dampen the morale of the Nigerian military in their fight against insurgency and other criminalities in the nation.
The elders worried that accusing the military unjustifiably of mass killings of 60 children, without a cogent evidence by Americans was yet another means to slow down the victories the Nigerian Army is recording in their effort to keep Nigeria safe.
The National President of the Patriotic Elders, Dr Bature AbdulAziz, said in a release he signed that, this is not the first time America is coming with heavy allegations against the military but which could not be justified.
He said, “they cannot pinpoint a specific location where this occurred, while in reverse gear their soldiers are the ones accused of allegedly committing such atrocious activities overseas without a sanction or complaint by others.”
Dr Bature AbdulAziz, added that, “Our Nigerian Armed Forces are governed through compliance to rules and regulations and they are today winning the ear to keep Nigeria safe, but America barely shows any gratitude or encouragement to them to boost their confidence and morale, only promote propaganda for their selfish agendas.
“Nigerian leaders and armed forces should not bother commenting on these allegations, for we the Patriotic Elders Network for Peace and Justice in Nigeria, it is our duty to respond to these kinds of unwarranted allegations.
“We hereby assure Nigerians that these are nothing but mere allegations with no tangible evidence from America.
“The west use different tools at it disposal to promote disunity and destroy other nations. These nations sponsor these propaganda through media campaigns, corrupt NGOs and others. Their main goal and objective is to drag other nations backwards while advancing theirs.”
He added that Nigeria offends them due to our incredible footmark in Africa, and the efforts to unite the continent to stand on their feet.
“Nigeria soldiers are innocent and there is no proof of such event. This is exactly how you accused the army of allegedly killing citizens at the Lekki toll gate. This is nothing but propaganda, accusing our armed forces of killing 9 “peaceful protesters” which the protesters have killed countless of Security Operatives, but you never said anything on that,” it added.
The Elders remarked that these carefully staged propaganda are often used against middle eastern countries to manipulate and threatened them in exchange for their oil to drastically decrease the price to $30-$40 per barrel.
Dr Bature AbdulAziz urged the Nigerian military to disregard the allegations against them and continue fighting the criminals and criminalities until Nigeria and Nigerians are safe wherever they are.
