“Audacious Heist” — Thieves Break Into Udu High Court, Steal Gun And Court Property

Unknown burglars on Monday broke into nine offices at the Otor-Udu High Court in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State, making away with several items, including a cut-to-size gun and other court property.

The break-in was discovered by the Director of Court, Evelyn Ekefe, Esq at around 10:15 a.m. upon her arrival at the office. She reported the incident to the Onwian Aladja Police Division.

Items reportedly stolen include compressors from exhibit refrigerators, court diaries, the gun, and other materials yet to be fully accounted for.

The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Onwian Aladja confirmed that patrol teams were immediately dispatched to the scene and surrounding bushes combed for clues. Investigations are ongoing as efforts continue to track the fleeing burglars.

Authorities have assured that further developments in the case will be communicated as the investigation progresses.
