Bauchi PRP Assembly candidate decamps to PDP, backs Bala’s reelection bid

 

 

 

The candidate of the People’s Redemption Party (PRP) in the forthcoming state House of Assembly election from Itas Gadau constituency of Bauchi State, Saleh Abdu yesterday dumped his party alongside his supporters and chieftains of the party to the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.

Saleh announced his defection at the PDP gubernatorial campaign rally in the area and promised to support the PDP Assembly candidate in order to win the election against candidates of other political parties.

He declared his total support to the reelection bid of Governor Bala and directed his supporters across the state to vote the governor massively so as to enable him emerged victorious in the outcome of the governorship election of the state.

Speaking at a courtesy visit to the district head of Itas-Gadau, Sagir Abdullahi, Governor Bala assured the traditional ruler that the ongoing over 8 billon naira 25 kilometers Itas-Gadau road would soon be completed as it is now in a stage of completion.

The governor told residents of Itas-Gadau local government area that his administration has fulfilled most of the campaign promises made to them in 2019 and pledged to do more if reelected in the upcoming election.

The district head of Itas-Gadau, Sagir Abdullahi, applauded Governor Bala for the number of projects executed by his administration in the area particularly the construction of Itas-Gadau road, renovations of his palace, healthcare centres, and local government secretariat among others.

Sagir said the governor has performed very well, hence the need for all and sundry to support his reelection bid for his victory so as to enable him consolidate on the successes recorded in the first tenure.
