Benue Governor Alia Warns Critics: “Leave the State if You’re Unhappy with Me”
Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia has firmly declared that anyone dissatisfied with his leadership should leave the state. Speaking during the burial of the late royal father, Zaki Toko Zumbe, Tor Kule Kule, Mbangur, Mbadede, in Vandeikya Local Government Area on Tuesday, Alia made it clear that he is the sole authority in the state.
“I am standing here today to declare that you do not have two governors in Benue State,” Alia stated. “I am the only governor, and no one should undermine my authority. I want the entire Tiv nation to hear this clearly: anyone coming to voice opposition should know that I am the only governor from Kunav land.”
The governor’s statement was aimed at silencing any challenges to his leadership, emphasizing that those who are unhappy with his governance should consider leaving the region.
Alia’s remarks underscore his resolve to assert his position and deter any efforts to undermine his authority in the state.
