Commuters Trapped As Heavy Traffic Grips Lagos-Ibadan Expressway

Commuters and motorists faced a massive traffic gridlock on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway starting Wednesday night, leaving many stranded for hours. The congestion spans key outbound Lagos areas, including Kara, Opic, and the Long Bridge, severely disrupting movement.

The traffic nightmare reportedly stems from multiple causes, including an accident and several vehicle breakdowns. Adding to the problem is the ongoing maintenance work on the Long Bridge, which has necessitated a traffic diversion, further complicating the situation.

The gridlock extends  along the sections of the road outbound Lagos, including areas like Kara, Opic, Long Bridge among others.
