Confusion as Police speak on Emefiele’s ‘house siege’

The Nigerian Police Force have reportedly laid siege at the residence of the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin on Tuesday night.

A source had disclosed that the police were there to ensure that the apex bank governor appear in court over the $53m Paris Fund Debt.

However, the Force headquarters in a statement on Tuesday night denied the deployment of police personnel to the Abuja home of Godwin Emefiele.

The Public Relations Officer (PRO), CSP Muyiwa Adejobi said, “I am not aware”.
