Countdown to the Wig: Nigerian Law School Begins Call to Bar Screening for 2025
The Nigerian Law School has officially kickstarted pre-call activities for successful candidates of the November 2024 Bar Final Examinations, ahead of the much-anticipated July 2025 Call to the Bar ceremonies.
According to a public notice issued by the School’s Management, the mandatory virtual screening exercise will run from Wednesday, June 4 to Wednesday, June 18, 2025. The Call to the Bar ceremonies are scheduled for Tuesday, July 8 to Thursday, July 10, 2025.
Only candidates who passed the November 2024 Bar Finals are eligible for this process. To complete the screening, candidates must email scanned copies of the following documents to november2024.clearance@nigerianlawschool.edu.ng:

Proof of ₦40,000 payment for Call to Bar (Zenith Bank, Acct Name: Body of Benchers Call To The Bar Fee, Acct No: 1015715697)

Proof of ₦10,000 Alumni fee paid via Remita under “Council of Legal Education” > “50th Anniversary”

Bar Final Exam result printout

Original LL.B certificate with security seal

Completed Alumni Form (downloadable from the Law School website)

Nigerian Law School ID card
Candidates will receive email confirmation after successful review of their documents. They are also required to print their clearance slip and bring it, along with their Law School ID card, to the ceremony venue.
The Call to the Bar ceremonies will begin at 10:00 a.m. daily, and all attendees must be seated at least 30 minutes before proceedings commence.
The Nigerian Law School emphasized strict adherence to the listed requirements and deadlines to ensure a smooth and successful Call to Bar process for all prospective lawyers.
