Deputy Senate Leader, Rep Ezechi, Others Win Awards
Deputy Leader of the Senate, Senator Yisa Ashiru Oyelola (Kwara South) has been conferred with Best Senator of the Year award for his consistency in delivering projects in his community while Hon. Nnamdi Ezechi (PDP, Delta) has won most outstanding House of Representatives member of the Year award for his consistency in delivering constituency projects.
The awards organised by MLN Service Nigeria Limited and held at the National Assembly Complex, Abuja recognised lawmakers, parliamentary staff and patriotic Nigerians who have made significant contributions to national development.
Also recognised were Hon. Sagir Ibrahim Koki (NNPP, Kano) for most outstanding lawmaker in constituency service delivery, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan (Kogi Central) -outstanding Senator in empowerment and project execution, Senator Patrick Nwabudze (Imo North) got award of excellence; Hon. Obuzor Victor and Hon. Hussaini Mohammed Jallo won champion of constituent award and most dedicated lawmaker respectively.
Other awardees include Hon. Kama Nkemkanma for community development champion, Hon. Clement Jimbo – service to humanity and Hon. Patrick Umoh – legislative leadership and community awards while Jammai Dadu clinched the best Cleaner of the Year award, Naiomi Richard – best Staff of the decade, Princewill Chukwuka Ogbolu – most outstanding SLA of the year, Dr Rafui Akano – most outstanding lecturer, Agwo Cynthia -outstanding secretary of the year.
Furthermore, Fidelity Bank PLC received a philanthropic Bank of the Year award,
Aso Savings And Loans was awarded the most outstanding mortgage bank of the year, while
Minister of Defence Mohammed Badaru Abubakar won the National Service Leadership Award for exceptional performance, leadership, and contribution to national security.
The coordinator of the programme, Engr Uko Miracle, emphasised that all awardees were duly selected and deserving of the recognition.
The ceremony featured love feast and special prayers from the Chief Imam of the National Assembly Mosque and the Chaplin of the National Assembly.
“This ceremony marked a significant milestone in the history of the National Assembly, and we look forward to future events that celebrate excellence and dedication to service,” Miracle said.
