Don’t Sell Tools To Buy Big Phones, NDE Boss Warns Beneficiaries

The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has disbursed start-up tools and cash to 26 beneficiaries of the Environmental Beautification Training Scheme (EBTS) in Borno State.

The beneficiaries were trained for three months on hard and soft landscaping as well as Plaster of Paris (PoP).

The Director-General of the NDE, Malam Abubakar Fikpo, while distributing the starter kits and cash to the trained beneficiaries in Maiduguri, warned them not to sell up the tools and buy big phones.

Fiko, represented by the state coordinator, Mohammed Muktar, noted that the takeoff grants are revolving loans that must be judiciously used and paid back for others to benefit from the program.
