Kano State Chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Hashimu Suleiman Dungurawa, has expressed confidence that President Bola Tinubu will be voted out in the 2027 general election, citing what he described as harsh anti-people’s policies implemented by the president.
In a statement issued on Thursday, Dungurawa declared, “Tinubu, you either change these policies, or we Nigerians together will change you. Be prepared for defeat should you decide to go for a second term.”
Dungurawa, who leads the NNPP in Kano, pointed out that since taking office on May 29, 2023, President Tinubu has introduced several policies he believes are detrimental to the masses. He accused Tinubu of continually imposing policies that hurt the average Nigerian, saying, “With these harsh anti-masses policies, and your stance on them, just prepare for defeat in the next general elections.”
The NNPP chairman further emphasized that the All Progressives Congress (APC) government’s actions, particularly its economic policies, have created widespread dissatisfaction, leading to what he views as a growing movement for change. Dungurawa expressed optimism that the NNPP will secure victories across the 36 states of Nigeria in the upcoming election, culminating in the election of Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso as president.
“With these problems and many more created by the APC government, it is just a matter of time, but we are going to ensure that Tinubu is out in 2027 and Kwankwaso, a true democrat, comes in,” he concluded.
