“Eagle Brain Raises Alarm Over Kaduna Polytechnic’s Alleged Relocation Plans”

Eagle Brain, a prominent civil society organization, has appealed to both the Federal Government and local authorities to reconsider the alleged relocation of the College of Administrative and Social Studies, Kaduna Polytechnic. The organization expressed concern that such a move could disrupt the lives of students, faculty, and local businesses, causing significant economic and social upheaval.

Daniel Ejembi, CEO of Eagle Brain, raised the alarm in a statement issued on Thursday, February 23, 2025, noting rumors that the college might be moved to Rigachikun in Igabi Local Government Area. Ejembi emphasized that this would displace the educational institution, its community, and the surrounding area, leading to far-reaching consequences.

“As a civil society organization focused on justice, equity, and educational opportunities, we cannot remain silent about the possible relocation of the College of Administrative and Social Studies,” Ejembi said. “Such a move would not only impact students and staff but could also disrupt local businesses that depend on the school’s presence.”

Ejembi went on to stress the importance of education as a cornerstone of societal progress. He explained that universities and colleges do more than provide education—they drive innovation, economic growth, and community development. The College of Administrative and Social Studies has been a critical institution for the people of Chikun Local Government and the surrounding areas, providing essential services and empowering local youth.

During a recent visit to the college campus, Eagle Brain representatives noted concerning changes in the area, including the demarcation of open fields, which have traditionally been used as communal spaces by students and local youth. These lands are reportedly being divided into numbered plots, which has raised alarm about potential plans for redevelopment and the future of the college.

Ejembi called for transparency and answers from relevant authorities, questioning who is behind these actions and what their true intentions are regarding the college’s relocation.

In his statement, Ejembi emphasized the importance of preserving the college’s infrastructure, including its playground, which serves as a vital space for youth development and engagement. He urged the community to unite and advocate for the preservation of the educational institution, stating that the people must protect their access to education and the opportunities it provides.

Eagle Brain also encouraged community members to speak out and stand together against any actions that could jeopardize the future of the college and the well-being of the local community.
