Early morning inferno razes shopping mall in Gwarinpa
An early morning fire has razed parts of a popular shopping mall in Gwarinpa, FCT Abuja destroying goods worth millions.
The fire, which reportedly began around 4;13 am, on Wednesday, razed the uppermost floor of the supermarket, the packing stores, down to the staircases within the mall.
Although the cause of the early morning inferno is yet to be determined, there are indications that it could be a case of arson.
A staff of the mall who spoke anonymously said an unknown individual was caught hiding in the store in the early hours of the morning when efforts were being made to put out the fire.
The General Manager of the shopping mall who promised to give details of the incident later, said an investigation has begun to uncover the source of the fire.
