Edo Assembly approves Civil Service Commission nominees for Obaseki

Less than one month before the end of his administration, members of the Edo State House of Assembly have confirmed Governor Godwin Obaseki’s nominees for the State Civil Service Commission.

the House confirmed the five-member nominees at the plenary session on Monday

the nominees were read at the House’s plenary on October 2, 2024, by the Speaker of the House, Blessing Agbebaku.

Recall that Governor Godwin Obaseki-led administration will end on November 12, 2024, and a new administration to be led by Senator Monday Okpebholo, a member of the All Progressives Congress, APC, would be sworn in as the new governor of the state.

The confirmed nominees are Iguodala Lalla Aluyi, as chairman, Ehi Obaseki, Gilbert Adegboyega, Julie Olatunji, and Margaret Ohiowele as members respectively.

Meanwhile, the House has passed a bill for a law to establish Edo State Digital Governance and Data Management Agency.
