“Edo Governor Okpebholo Assures Support for Jattu Fire Victims, Collaborates with Agencies”
The Governor of Edo State, Monday Okpebholo, has assured the residents of Jattu in Etsako West Local Government Area that his government will provide immediate support to victims of the recent fire disaster that struck the community on Wednesday, January 21, 2025.
The fire, which ravaged shops located opposite the main market in Jattu, resulted in the destruction of goods worth millions of Naira, leaving several traders and business owners devastated.
Governor Okpebholo expressed his deep concern over the incident, acknowledging the severe impact on both property and livelihoods. He assured the public that the state government is collaborating with various agencies, including the Fire Service, the Emergency Management Agency, and the Local Government Council, to assess the full extent of the damage and provide swift relief to those affected.
The Governor emphasized the need for unity and collective effort, expressing confidence that the victims, with the support of the state, would recover from the setback. He also urged the community to remain calm and cooperate with the authorities as they work to manage the situation and assist those in need.
