EFCC Arrests Suspects in Alleged Yahoo Academy, Recovers Exotic Cars and Tech Equipment

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested six individuals suspected of being involved in internet-related fraud, commonly known as “Yahoo Yahoo.” The arrests were made on Thursday after the EFCC received credible intelligence about a hideout being used as a training school for fraudulent activities.

According to a statement released by the EFCC, the operation led to the discovery of a “Yahoo academy,” where individuals were being trained in internet fraud techniques. The commission recovered several items from the suspects, including six exotic cars, laptops, and mobile phones, which are believed to have been used in their illicit operations.

The EFCC stated that the suspects will be charged in court once investigations are concluded, as they work to uncover the full extent of the fraudulent activities associated with the academy.
