Emeka Anyaoku Lauds Governor Soludo for Visionary Leadership in New Government House Project

Emeka Anyaoku, a seasoned diplomat and former Commonwealth Secretary-General, has praised Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State for his visionary leadership in the construction of the new Government House and Governor’s Lodge.

On Tuesday, during a visit to the ongoing Government House project and other state developments in Awka, Mr. Anyaoku lauded the Governor’s foresight in planning infrastructure that would serve the state’s future needs.

“I must commend Governor Soludo for being a visionary planner,” Anyaoku said. “The synchronization of the various arms of government — the Government House, the judiciary, and the state assembly — shows remarkable foresight and planning.”

He added, “As I have observed, these buildings are designed to stand the test of time. I cannot foresee any future governor of Anambra building anything larger or more significant in terms of residence or office. This is truly a monumental achievement.”

Mr. Anyaoku congratulated Governor Soludo and his administration for their leadership and execution of the vast construction project.

In response, Governor Soludo expressed his satisfaction that after 33 years of waiting, Anambra would soon have a befitting Government House and Governor’s Lodge. He emphasized that his administration was committed to constructing structures that would last for generations and contribute to the state’s long-term development.

Governor Soludo also praised Mr. Anyaoku as “Africa’s most distinguished statesman” and expressed gratitude for the former Commonwealth Secretary-General’s visit to tour the projects alongside him.
