Fubara: ‘Wike never won election on popular votes, he’s a destroyer’ – PDP chieftain, Ewoh alleges
A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State, Nnam Robinson Ewoh, has accused the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, of being a “destroyer.”
In an interview with Symfoni on Wednesday, the ex-Rivers lawmaker also alleged that Wike has never won any election based on popular votes, claiming the former governor uses violence to gain victory.
In a trending video clip from the interview, the PDP chieftain expressed optimism that despite the face-off between Wike and the incumbent Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, the latter would secure his second term in 2027.
He said, “Wike, from history, is a destroyer. He has destroyed the PDP and everyone he supported. So Wike cannot bring anything good or new to this state.
“For Wike to win elections, they have to write results for him. He has never won an election by popular vote. Wike does not believe in elections, and he cannot participate in any popular election.
“Whether Wike is there or not, it is immaterial. What will determine Governor Fubara’s return in 2027 are Rivers votes, not Wike’s vote. Wike has a single vote, and that cannot make the governor lose the election.
“Since Wike began playing a key role in the PDP, the party started declining. He has never been a success story for the PDP. Wike has been a disaster for the PDP.
“Fubara will surely do his second term. Nobody is discussing Wike in this state.”
He urged President Bola Tinubu to be cautious with the minister, warning that Wike may turn against him as political events unfold.
