“Governor Abdullahi Sule Dissolves Political Appointees, Swears in New Secretary”

Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has officially dissolved all political appointees in his administration. The announcement was made on Friday, February 7, during a valedictory session with Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants, and Personal Assistants at the Executive Council Chambers, Government House.

Governor Sule expressed his gratitude to the appointees for their service and contributions to the development of the state, noting that some of them may be reappointed in other capacities in the future.

New Appointments and Reorganization

During the session, the Governor also swore in Barrister Labaran Magaji as the new Secretary to the State Government. Magaji, the immediate past Commissioner and Attorney General of the state, brings his experience to this pivotal role.

Other key appointments included the inauguration of the Sole Administrator for the Udege Development Area of Nasarawa Local Government, as well as the Chairman and board members of the College of Education Akwanga.

Governor Sule charged the new appointees to dedicate themselves to the success of his administration and continue working toward the state’s progress.

Restructuring the Executive

This reshuffle comes after the Governor had dissolved the state’s Executive Council earlier in January. He also informed the public that he has submitted a list of 16 nominees for various commissioner positions to the State House of Assembly for screening, signaling further efforts to reorganize and strengthen his administration.
