Governor Buni Approves Employment of 424 Health Workers to Boost Yobe Healthcare

Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State has authorized the recruitment of 424 health workers as part of his administration’s ongoing efforts to improve healthcare delivery across the state. This announcement was made in a statement issued by Mamman Mohammed, the Director-General of Press and Media Affairs to the Governor.

The newly employed professionals include 205 nurses and midwives who graduated from the state-owned Shehu Sule College of Nursing and Midwifery, along with 219 health technicians specializing in various fields. This move is in line with Governor Buni’s commitment to ensuring that Yobe residents have access to quality and affordable healthcare services.

Governor Buni emphasized the importance of the new hires, noting that they will be deployed across both rural and urban healthcare facilities to provide vital medical services to the people of Yobe State. “These new health workers will play a key role in improving healthcare delivery across the state,” the governor stated.

He urged the recruits to remain dedicated and committed to their roles, ensuring that their services meet the expectations of the state government and the citizens. “This recruitment is a reflection of our administration’s prioritization of healthcare,” Governor Buni remarked. “We will continue to provide the necessary resources, including medical supplies and skilled personnel, to strengthen the healthcare system in Yobe State.”

Reaffirming his administration’s focus on the health sector, Governor Buni pledged continued investment in infrastructure and human resources to ensure that Yobe’s hospitals and healthcare workers can deliver improved services to the people of the state.
