Governor Mai Mala Buni Pledges to Complete Ongoing Projects in Yobe by 2025
Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni has committed to completing all ongoing physical projects in the state by the end of 2025. The assurance was provided by Abdullahi Bego, the Commissioner for Home Affairs, Information and Culture, following the Executive Council meeting in Damaturu on Wednesday.
Bego emphasized that the state government had been executing numerous impactful projects and programs aimed at improving the lives of the people, particularly in sectors such as healthcare, agriculture, education, and infrastructure.
The commissioner highlighted several projects, including the Potiskum Modern Market, Ngalda and Yunusari markets, and the Geidam Modern Market, all of which are in various stages of completion. He also mentioned the completion of four modern sesame seed processing factories located in Machina, Nguru, Potiskum, and Damaturu.
In addition, Bego noted the significant progress made in road construction, with many roads either completed or nearing completion. Some of the finished roads include the Fika-Maluri Road, Kukuri-Chukuriwa-Dawasa Road, and the Karasuwa-Galu-Gashu’a main road.
Governor Buni praised the efforts of his cabinet in successfully implementing the 2024 budget, which has positioned Yobe as one of the best-performing states in the country. He urged members of the council to continue their dedication and strive to do even more for the people of Yobe.
