“Governor Mutfwang Celebrates New Appointees, Emphasizes Responsibility Over Privilege”
Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State has called on the newly appointed commissioners, chairmen, and members of the Governing Council of Tertiary Institutions in the state to view their appointments as a serious responsibility. He urged them to approach their roles with diligence, transparency, and accountability, emphasizing that their positions are not privileges but calls to serve the people of Plateau.
During their swearing-in ceremony at the Government House in Jos, Governor Mutfwang reiterated that the event symbolizes the administration’s commitment to good governance, efficiency, and the public’s expectations of a government dedicated to serving its citizens’ interests.
“For the past 20 months, Plateau citizens have placed their trust in us, giving us a clear mandate to rebuild and restore the state,” the governor remarked. “This administration is the result of the collective will of our people, and we remain steadfast in our mission to regain Plateau’s lost glory.”
Governor Mutfwang highlighted that the new appointees were selected based on their records of excellence, integrity, and public service dedication. He tasked them with channeling their expertise toward the success of the administration’s agenda, “The Time is Now.” He stressed that their role would be critical in implementing government policies and delivering democratic benefits to the people.
“You are the face of this government, and the citizens of Plateau State look to you not only for accountability but also for innovation and responsiveness,” Mutfwang stated. “The task ahead is immense, but with dedication, we can overcome challenges and achieve the transformation our people deserve.”
The governor emphasized that his administration remains committed to peace, security, infrastructural development, education, healthcare, and good governance. He urged the new appointees to familiarize themselves with the state’s developmental blueprint and align their efforts with its priorities. Additionally, he encouraged them to introduce new ideas to accelerate progress in the state.

Turning to the newly appointed chairmen and members of the Governing Council of Tertiary Institutions, Mutfwang congratulated them on their appointments, acknowledging their vast knowledge and experience. He emphasized that education remains a cornerstone of the state’s development agenda and called on them to drive reforms in Plateau’s tertiary institutions.
