Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State has assured President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of reciprocity from the people of Jigawa in the upcoming 2027 elections, citing the federal government’s various support programs as evidence of Tinubu’s commitment to tackling poverty and improving the lives of Nigerians.
Speaking at the official launch of the second phase of the Conditional Cash Transfer program in Dutse, Namadi praised the Federal Government’s efforts through the National Social Investment Programme (NSIP), which includes initiatives like Cash Transfer, N-Power, School Feeding, and the Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (GEEP).
Under the second phase of the Conditional Cash Transfer, 23,000 less privileged residents of Jigawa will receive N75,000 each, a move that the governor said was aligned with Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope Initiative” aimed at empowering the less fortunate.
Namadi expressed his gratitude on behalf of the beneficiaries, emphasizing that Jigawa people have a tradition of repaying good deeds and would reciprocate the federal government’s support in the 2027 elections.
“On behalf of the beneficiaries in Jigawa State, we extend our appreciation to the Federal Government under Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the support, and we are confident that more of these initiatives will come,” he said.
The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to policies that uplift the welfare of Jigawa citizens and pledged continued support for national development efforts under Tinubu’s leadership.
