Governor Soludo Honors Anyaoku’s Impact on Nigeria and Global Diplomacy at 92
Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra has paid tribute to Chief Emeka Anyaoku on his 92nd birthday, celebrating his outstanding career as a global diplomat and the lasting impact he has had on Nigeria and international relations.
In a statement issued by his Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, Governor Soludo expressed admiration for Anyaoku’s extensive service to Nigeria, the United Nations, and the Commonwealth of Nations. Soludo noted that Anyaoku’s dedication to the ideals of democracy, human rights, and development has shaped Africa’s and the world’s diplomatic landscape.
“Chief Emeka Anyaoku’s relentless pursuit of peace, justice, and good governance left a lasting impact on Africa and global international relations,” Soludo said. “His illustrious career as a diplomat of global repute has been an enduring legacy of reference for generations of Nigerians.”
Soludo also highlighted Anyaoku’s continued contributions to global diplomacy, noting his role as Vice-President of the Royal Commonwealth Society, and his traditional recognition as the Adazie of Obosi and Ugwumba of Idemili.
The Governor further commended Anyaoku’s influence in Anambra, acknowledging the diplomat’s role as a mentor and role model to successive leaders of the state. His wisdom and counsel, Soludo said, have been invaluable to the growth of the state and Nigeria at large.
“Chief Emeka Anyaoku has consistently served as a role model and mentor, inspiring successive leaders to strive for excellence and contribute meaningfully to society,” Soludo stated.
