Gunmen Kill Former LG Staff, Abduct Petrol Attendant in Oyo State

In a violent attack on Tuesday, gunmen invaded Iseyin Town in the Oke-Ogun area of Oyo State, killing a former local government staff and abducting a petrol station attendant.

According to sources, the gunmen initially targeted the owner of the filling station but found him absent. The incident took place at the Sawmill Road along the Iseyin-Saki Road.

The deceased, identified as Ayanladun, was attending a church service nearby when he went to retrieve his phone, which he had plugged to charge at the station. As he approached the station, he was shot by the gunmen, who coincidentally arrived at the same time.

In addition to Ayanladun’s death, the security officer at the station was also shot and is currently receiving treatment at a private hospital in the town.

The assailants abducted a petrol attendant before fleeing the scene. Authorities are yet to provide further details as the investigation continues.
