Hardship: Clerics announce Lagos, Abuja protest over economic situation in Nigeria

A coalition of Christian leaders, led by Prophet Bisi Olujobi, the spiritual leader of Wisdom Church of Christ International in Ketu, Lagos, is set for a “call to action walk”.

The announcement is contained in a press release issued on Monday by Olujobi’s media adviser, Prince Ayo Adegboye.

The clerics, under the aegis of the Federation of Concerned Prophets, would stage the protest at the Freedom Park in Ojota on March 21 and at Eagle Square, FCT, on March 28.

Olujobi, in February, revealed his group was preparing to embark on a peaceful demonstration devoid of religious or ethnic undertones.

The rallies are with the intent to call the attention of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration to tackle the hardship Nigerians are facing.

“This protest will be one of its kind in the history of this nation because many believe that the responsibilities of

clergymen are limited to the pulpit.

“A six-page Handout of Demands and Advice is meant to be delivered to the President for onward consideration and utilisation,” the statement noted.

The coalition also disclosed what it described as “Plan B”, which is the plan of more than 70 prophets across the country to seek divine intervention for Nigeria.

  1. Apostle Edward Nanpan Dafohot says:

🇳🇬Great initiative. The church impact and influence was never designed to be limited to the pulpit.
The church and clerics must arise and do more than prayers. We have the Patriotic duty to call government to order and hold them accountable through peaceful protest, law suits and other lawful means.
We must put pressure on government at all levels in order to know what they are doing with the mandate and resources committed into their hands for the welfare of NIGERIANS regardless of tribe, region or religion.

Enough of just praying and fasting. The church must arise and deploy it’s enormous power to reset this great and Dearly Beloved Country of ours called, NIGERIA.
More GRACE to the convener and entire group.

Green-on and NIGERIA shall be RESTORED. 🇳🇬
