Hardship Protest: Influencer VeryDarkMan Begins Solo Action Ahead August 1

Controversial social media critic, Martin Vincent Osei, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has taken to the street of Abuja to protest against hardship ahead of the planned August 1 nationwide action.

Videos making the rounds on social media have shown VeryDarkMan shirtless, with another man in blue, standing on a black jeep on the street, holding banners.

VeryDarkMan’s banner reads, “Emi lo kon…is it your turn to suffer us?

“Mr. President.

“Do we even have a future with you???”

His partner’s banner stated, “Tinubu, We Have Learnt the Hard Way. Pity Us, Sir… We Are Suffering.”

FCT Minister Nyesom Wike had warned that Abuja was not available for the August 1 nationwide protest, which has gained traction on social media.

The FCT Police Command has also deployed 4,200 personnel to defend the Territory against possible breakdown of law and order.

VeryDarkMan’s solo protest has sparked reactions all over social media, while some applauded the peaceful nature of the protest and hoped the August 1 protest would be similarly calm, other netizens doubted its impact, believing it wouldn’t compel the government to act.
