The House of Representatives has officially announced the postponement of its scheduled plenary session, originally set for Tuesday, January 28, 2025. The new resumption date is now confirmed for Tuesday, February 4, 2025.

In a statement released by the House spokesperson, Hon. Akin Rotimi, the delay was attributed to the need for more time to allow legislative committees to conclude their ongoing budget engagements and defenses with ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs). The move underscores the House’s commitment to a thorough examination of the budgetary processes.

This decision was communicated to all Honourable Members via an internal memorandum issued by the Clerk of the House, Dr. Yahaya Danzaria, Esq., on the direction of the House Leadership.
