Husband Beats Pregnant Wife to Death in Niger State

In the Limawa area of Minna, Niger State’s capital, a horrifying incident unfolded Tuesday evening when a man allegedly beat his pregnant wife to death. Neighbors were drawn to the scene by the woman’s loud cries but arrived too late to save her.

The identity of the deceased remains unconfirmed, but community members described the scene as deeply disturbing. Those close to the couple revealed that the husband had a history of domestic violence.

“This wasn’t the first time he harmed her,” a local source said. “We warned him many times, but he didn’t stop. Now she’s gone.”

Authorities have arrested the suspect, who remains in police custody as investigations proceed. The Niger State Police Public Relations Officer, Wasiu Abiodun, has yet to provide further details.
