“I’ve Had Enough”- Waste Board Member Dumps Oyebanji for Kayode Ojo
A member of the Ekiti State Waste Management Board, Mr. Wale Ade-Oba, has resigned his position and launched a scathing attack on Governor Biodun Oyebanji, accusing the administration of stagnation and mismanagement despite having access to substantial resources.
In a strongly worded statement, Ade-Oba announced his defection from the Oyebanji-led government, declaring allegiance to the Pro-Chancellor of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Engr. Kayode Ojo, whom he hailed as “a visionary leader” capable of rescuing Ekiti from its current trajectory.
“I’ve served under Governor Oyebanji, but I can no longer stand by and watch the administration fail to deliver meaningful development,” Ade-Oba said. “From Irepodun/Ifelodun to other LGAs, progress has stalled.”
He accused the governor of frequent absences and pursuing “unclear agendas” that have led to a “lack of productivity” across the state. He also decried internal marginalization within the ruling party, alleging that loyal party members are being sidelined while opposition figures are rewarded with appointments.
Ade-Oba pointed to Kayode Ojo’s leadership style as a refreshing contrast: “Ojo listens, he plans, and he prioritizes the people. His vision aligns with what Ekiti truly needs.”
In a bold call to action, he invited others to join him: “I’m choosing to work for a government that values its people and their efforts. I urge others who believe in Ekiti’s future to take a stand with me.”
