Kaduna Governor Pledges Continued Support for Families of Fallen Heroes

Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has reiterated his administration’s commitment to honoring Nigeria’s fallen heroes, emphasizing that their sacrifices for the nation will never be forgotten.

Speaking at the 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Day Interdenominational Church Service held at St Andrew Military Church, Ribadu Cantonment, on Sunday, Governor Sani, represented by the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Dr. James Kanyip, expressed sorrow over the conditions faced by the dependents of fallen soldiers.

“It is disheartening that many of the dependents of our fallen heroes live in penury and squalor,” Governor Sani said. “We owe them a debt of gratitude, and it is our responsibility to ensure they are cared for.”

The governor promised that the Kaduna State Government would continue to prioritize the welfare of widows and orphans of fallen soldiers, pledging to design and implement empowerment schemes aimed at lifting them from poverty to self-sustenance.

Governor Sani also took time to pray for the souls of the fallen heroes and their families. “We pray fervently to the Almighty God to continue to have mercy on the souls of our fallen heroes. May He continue to comfort and strengthen the families they left behind,” he added.

The governor acknowledged the ongoing sacrifices made by the members of the Armed Forces, emphasizing their critical role in safeguarding the country. He concluded by reiterating his administration’s dedication to restoring the glory of Kaduna State through peace, unity, and socio-economic development.
