Kaduna Police Arrest Notorious Kidnapper, Recover Illegal Weapons and Drugs
The Kaduna Police Command has arrested a notorious kidnapper and dismantled a kidnapping syndicate that has been terrorizing residents of the state. This was revealed by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP Mansir Hassan, in a statement issued to newsmen in Kaduna.
According to the statement, the police also recovered a fabricated AK-47 rifle, 58 blocks of Arizona, and 33 bags of suspected cannabis from the suspects. The arrested individual, identified as Sule Muhammad, was apprehended on Christmas Day by officers from the Saminaka Division. Muhammad confessed to being part of a notorious gang involved in the kidnapping of a district head on August 14, 2024.
Additionally, the police recovered three vehicles abandoned along the Kano-Zaria Expressway, which were found to be loaded with illegal substances.
The Commissioner of Police commended the officers for their swift action and reassured the public of the Command’s continued commitment to eradicating kidnapping and drug trafficking activities in the state.
