Marriage Proposal Rejection: Karu Magistrate Court Transfers ASP Akhindenor’s Criminal Case against POS Operator after LawblogNG’s Report

The Nasarawa Magistrate Court sitting at Ado Karu Nasarawa State has declined to continue the criminal charge brought by Abuja Police Assistant Superintendent of Police, ASP Prince Akhindenor against a POS operator, Miss Gloria Benjamin, for rejecting his marriage proposal.

LawblogNG.com earlier published the story of how ASP Akhindenor charged Miss Benjamin for sundry criminal offenses through a direct criminal complaint for refusing to agree to his marriage proposal.

At the hearing of the case on 27th November 2023, the magistrate queried why the case was reported on Social Media and thereafter declined to continue with the case and transferred the case file back to the Court Registry for reassignment.

The Court Registry reassigned the case to a new Magistrate Court within the Ado Karu Court Premises.

The case could not however go on because of the absence of the complainant, ASP Akhindenor and was adjourned to the 19th of December 2023.
