Mohammed okays N10,000 Sallah largesse for Bauchi civil servants

The Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohamed has directed the immediate payment of N10,000 to all categories of civil servants in both state and local government areas of the state.

the wage award is the “benevolence” of the governor to enable the workers to celebrate Sallah in high spirits, especially in the wake of current economic hardship.

Our correspondent reports that the approval as contained in a statement by the Permanent Secretary of Establishments, Mohammed Sani Umar, on behalf of the Head of Civil Service of the State is to enable the workers experience a joyful celebration.

The statement read in parts: “the wage award is a benevolence of the governor to enable the workers to celebrate Sallah in high spirits in the wake of current economic hardship.”

Hailing the governor for the gesture and other support to workers, the Head of civil service, urged the workers to reciprocate the gesture through hard work and dedication to their duties and to improve efforts aimed at consolidating the gains made so far by the present administration.

Umar noted further, “the workers are to reciprocate the gesture through hard work and dedication to their duties and to improve efforts to consolidate the gains made so far by the present administration.”
