“Mysterious Attack on Former Local Government Chairman Leaves Him Missing”
Umar Namashaya Diggi, the former Chairman of Kalgo Local Government Area in Kebbi State, has gone missing following a violent attack by unknown assailants along the Birnin Kebbi-Diggi Road.
Sources within the security forces revealed that the attack occurred on February 17 at approximately 12:30 AM, while Diggi was traveling from Birnin Kebbi to his village. Upon reaching Gayi village, he was pursued by a mysterious vehicle. The attackers forced him to stop and set his Toyota Corolla, bearing the license plate KLG 637 AA, on fire before fleeing the scene.
Despite efforts by security personnel who arrived shortly afterward, the former chairman’s whereabouts remain unknown. Authorities have found several items believed to have been involved in the attack, including a lighter, a stick, and a fuel-scented container.
A full-scale investigation has been launched to uncover the truth behind the disappearance of Diggi and identify the perpetrators of this disturbing attack. The Kebbi State Police Command has officially confirmed the incident and is working diligently to solve the case.
