Yusuf Imam, also known as ‘Ogan Boye’, the Chairman of Nasarawa Local Government Area in Kano State, has officially approved the appointment of 60 aides to help drive the development and governance of the region. The appointments were detailed in a letter dated January 6, 2024, and signed by the Local Government Secretary, Ado Muhammed Hotoro.
According to the letter, the appointments are part of Imam’s ongoing efforts to enhance governance and development in Nasarawa. The new aides are to serve in various capacities across several fields and professions.
Among the appointees, 18 individuals will serve as special reporters tasked with overseeing critical sectors within the local government area, including departments, markets, and primary healthcare centres. Other key positions include Executive Assistant, Chief of Details Affairs I and II, Chief Protocol Officer, Principal Personnel Secretary, and eight Director-Generals.
The appointments were made based on criteria of merit, dedication, honesty, and commitment, with the aim of aligning with the chairman’s vision for efficient and transparent governance. The letter expressed confidence in the ability of the appointees to effectively contribute to the local government’s development objectives, ensuring progress for Nasarawa Local Government.
