NBA Lagos 2025: Akangbe SAN Joins Panel on Law, Profitability, and Professionalism

Respected Senior Advocate of Nigeria and former Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Lagos Branch, Lateef Omoyemi Akangbe SAN, FCIArb (UK), has been confirmed as a panelist at the 2025 NBA Lagos Annual Law Conference.

Akangbe will feature in a pivotal session titled “The Business of Law – Profitability Without Compromising Professionalism”, slated for Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at 1:00 p.m.

In a statement ahead of the session, Akangbe described the theme as “timely and necessary,” particularly in light of the pressures and transformations shaping modern legal practice.

“I will be sharing thoughts on how legal practitioners can build profitable practices while upholding the ethical and professional standards that define our noble calling,” he said.

He stressed that the legal profession must adapt to change—but “with purpose, dignity, and resolve.”

The session is expected to generate robust dialogue on sustainable practice models, ethical boundaries, and navigating the commercial side of law—particularly for young and mid-career lawyers navigating today’s competitive legal terrain.

As a former branch chairman and widely respected advocate for legal reform, Akangbe’s perspective is set to anchor what many anticipate will be one of the conference’s most engaging panels.
