NBA-NEC: Abimbola SAN To Chair NBA Electoral Committee, Oversee 2024 Elections
Former Oyo Attorney General Seun Abimbola has been appointed Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association’s Electoral Committee (ECNBA), the body tasked with organizing the NBA’s national elections in July 2024.
Abimbola, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), has previously served as Ibadan Branch Chairman and Chairman of the NBA Section on Legal Practice. He will lead the critical ECNBA panel along with members Abdullahi Yahaya SAN, Eno-Obong Bassey Akpan, Alexander Odiette, and Huwaila Ibrahim.
The ECNBA slate was formally approved by the NBA National Executive Council in a meeting this week.
The 2024 vote is expected to be hotly contested, with aspirants like Afam Osigwe SAN, Chukwuka Ikwuazom SAN, Tobenna Erojikwe and Joyce Oduah already maneuvering for the position of NBA President ahead of Electoral Committee oversight.
