NBA Unveils Agenda For November 7 Quarterly NEC Meeting In Enugu

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has released the agenda for its upcoming Quarterly National Executive Council (NEC) Meeting, scheduled to take place on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at the Nike Lake Resort in Abakpa Trans Ekulu, Enugu State.

According to a statement signed by the NBA General Secretary, Dr. Mobolaji Ojibara, the meeting will commence at 10:00 am prompt and will feature several key items on the agenda, including a review of the minutes from the Pre-Conference NEC Meeting held on August 24, 2024, and matters arising from the minutes.

The President of the NBA is expected to deliver a speech, followed by a report from the National Secretariat. Reports from various Sections, Fora, Committees, and Institutes of the NBA will also be presented during the meeting.

The state of the nation will be discussed, and any other business will be addressed before the closing and adjournment of the meeting.

Attendance is open to statutory NEC members, including National Officers, Past Presidents, Past General Secretaries, Branch Chairmen, Branch Secretaries, as well as Chairmen and Secretaries of Sections and Fora. Pre-registered observers are also welcome to attend, but they must contact the General Secretary for registration by Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at the latest.

The meeting will be held in a hybrid format, with both physical and virtual attendance options available. Meeting documents will be sent via email before the meeting date, and members are advised to bring printed copies or access documents on their devices.
