Nigerian govt announces new date to complete Immigration, Fire Service recruitments

The Nigerian Federal Government has said the recruitment exercise for the Nigeria Immigration Service and the Federal Fire would be completed before the end of September 2024.

The Secretary of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board, Ja’afaru Ahmed, disclosed this in a statement on Sunday in Abuja.

He noted that the next stage of the exercise would commence in August.

The development comes after the board failed to conclude the recruitment it earlier scheduled to end on June 15, 2024.

He, however, said the delay was due to the board’s nationwide manpower audit which recently ended.

“The board will begin the next stage of the recruitment exercise in August and will conclude the exercise before the end of September.”

“It was due to a nationwide manpower audit carried out in the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Federal Fire Service (FFS) and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), which was just recently ended.

“All shortlisted candidates will be duly notified of the next stage through their phone numbers and email addresses.”
