Obasanjo Declares Nigeria’s Destiny is Bright Amid Economic Struggles

Former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo has expressed strong optimism about Nigeria’s future, stating that the country is destined for greatness. In an interview with Arise News on Monday, Obasanjo emphasized that despite the present economic difficulties, Nigeria is meant for a future of prosperity. He described Nigeria as a country destined to “flow with milk and honey,” and assured that the current hardships will soon be overcome.

Acknowledging the tough times Nigerians are enduring, Obasanjo urged citizens to remain hopeful. “I am an incurable optimist about Nigeria, and we have a great country,” he said, encouraging Nigerians not to lose faith.

He further stated, “Where we are is not where God wants us to be. I believe that sooner than later, we will get to where God wants us to be.”

Obasanjo reiterated his belief that God has a great plan for Nigeria, describing the country as a land of abundance, not a failed state. He attributed Nigeria’s present struggles to both the actions of its leaders and the people, but reaffirmed that God’s plans for Nigeria’s future are promising.
