Ondo State Secretary to the Government, Tayo Oluwatuyi, Dies at 2024 Appointment”
Tayo Oluwatuyi, the Secretary to the Ondo State Government (SSG), has died. He passed away on Saturday morning at an undisclosed hospital, sources within the Ondo State government confirmed to SaharaReporters.
Oluwatuyi was appointed as SSG in January 2024 by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa. He had previously served as the Secretary to the Government under the late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu’s administration.
In December 2024, Oluwatuyi was reported to have been involved in a serious auto crash along the Ife-Ibadan Expressway. The vehicle he was traveling in skidded off the road into the bush, leaving him with injuries. He was subsequently taken to the intensive care unit at the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital, Ile-Ife, Osun State. Despite efforts to save him, Oluwatuyi succumbed to his injuries.
