Osun Attorney General Honored with ‘Man of the Year Award,’ Pledges Continued Welfare Improvements
Osun State’s Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Oluwole Jimi-Bada, has called for stronger unity among the Ministry’s staff while assuring them that the government remains committed to enhancing their welfare. This promise was made during a ceremony in Osogbo on Friday, where Jimi-Bada received the prestigious ‘Man of the Year Award’ from the Ministry’s staff. The event, attended by serving and retired judges, was a momentous occasion for celebrating legal excellence in Osun State.
Jimi-Bada expressed his gratitude to the staff and emphasized that the award was a collective achievement, reflective of the dedication and support of all members of the Ministry. “This recognition is a testament to the unwavering commitment and hard work of each and every one of you here. I could not have achieved anything without your support,” he stated. He pledged to continue striving for excellence and to foster an environment where the talents of the Ministry’s staff can continue to flourish.
During the event, Jimi-Bada also honored notable legal personalities such as Justice Isiaka Adeleke, Justice Yinka Aderibigbe, Justice Kudirat Akano, Justice Abiola Adewemimo, and Justice Dapo Adeniji, all of whom had served in the Ministry before being appointed as judges.
The Deputy Director of the Department of Public Prosecution, Mr. Moses Faremi, explained that the staff had decided to honor Jimi-Bada for his role in improving their welfare since taking office. This includes regular payment of robe allowances, support for Ministry lawyers to attend the Nigerian Bar Association annual conference, and the introduction of a better welfare package for the staff.
