Portable sparks outrage after slapping preacher at his bar
Singer Portable has faced significant backlash online following a video that shows him slapping a man preaching at his bar.
The incident, which took place on Monday at his bar in Sango Ota, Ogun State, has reignited controversy surrounding his public behaviour.
In the video, Portable is seen confronting the middle-aged preacher, who was holding a Bible, questioning why he was disturbing his customers.
The confrontation escalated when Portable slapped the man and accused him of disrupting his business.
Social media users have condemned Portable’s actions as assault and criticized him for not deserving his fame
Concerns have been raised about his behaviour and treatment of others.
However, one user defended Portable, suggesting that if the preacher is indeed a genuine man of God, Portable may face consequences for his actions.
jbrandy_YBNL slammed him, saying ”Why will Portable slap a Pastor? This Bro Doesn’t deserve the fame we gave him.”
Another user, TemitayoOdede wrote: “This guy portable don Dey do too much ooo Like see the effrontery, slapping man of God like, what could he have done for him to slap that man.”
However, a user, #delemon supported Portable, saying, “I heard a lot of people saying this is assault and he should get a lawyer. If the Man is a genuine Man of God, Portable can’t escape what is coming to me. You slap a servant of a living God? The man doesn’t even need to alter a word to God, he’s done for.”
