President Tinubu Appoints Dr. Saviour Enyiekere as NASC Chairman
In a significant move, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of Dr. Saviour Enyiekere as the new Chairman of the National Assembly Service Commission (NASC). The decision, which was announced in a statement on Thursday by Tinubu’s media aide, Bayo Onanuga, grants Dr. Enyiekere a five-year term in office.
Dr. Enyiekere, an experienced environmental specialist, was previously serving as the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Senate President before receiving this prestigious appointment. His selection marks a new phase in the leadership of the commission.
In addition to Dr. Enyiekere’s appointment, President Tinubu has also approved the appointment of two members from each of Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones to serve on the commission. The full list of appointees is as follows:
