President Tinubu Arrives in Enugu for Official Visit, Set to Commission Key Infrastructure Projects

President Bola Tinubu has arrived at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu for an official one-day visit. The President touched down at approximately 1:22 pm aboard the Nigeria Air Force Airbus A330.

During his visit, President Tinubu is set to commission several notable projects initiated by Governor Peter Mbah’s administration. These include the Enugu International Conference Centre, a state-of-the-art facility built to boost the state’s infrastructure.

Additionally, the President will oversee the commissioning of 30 completed Enugu Smart Green Schools, part of a broader initiative to construct 260 such schools across the state’s 260 wards. Also on the list are 60 Type 2 Primary Healthcare Centres, with plans for 260 more to be built throughout the state.

Other key projects set to be inaugurated include 90 completed urban roads in Enugu City, a multi-functional multi-auditorium, and the state-of-the-art Command and Control Centre. President Tinubu will also commission 150 patrol vehicles equipped with AI-embedded surveillance cameras aimed at improving security in the state.

The President’s visit will also include the commissioning of completed rural roads, marking a significant step in the ongoing development efforts in Enugu.

On hand to welcome President Tinubu were several dignitaries, including Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State, Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, Governor Alex Otti of Abia State, Anambra’s Deputy Governor, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Benjamin Kalu, former Senate President Anyim Pius Anyim, Minister of Works Dave Umahi, and oil magnate Arthur Ezeh.
